Our Team
Robert J. Homm, MD,FACOG
Dr. Homm holds Board Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in practice as an RE for fourteen years, currently with an office in Louisville, KY and previously with offices in both Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky. A Louisville native, he completed his OBGYN residency at U of L and a fellowship in Gynecologic Endocrinology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has served on faculty at the University of South Carolina and the University of Kentucky School of Medicine.
In addition to publishing several journal articles on causes and management of infertility, Dr. Homm has also authored book chapters dealing with complications of pregnancy and gynecologic issues related to female athletes. As one of the leading laser laparoscopic surgeons in this region, he is often able to act as a consultant to other physicians providing care to women with complex reproductive or gynecologic problems.
Dr. Homm is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, a board member of the Louisville RESOLVE chapter and a charter member of the American Society of Andrology. Besides memberships in many national, regional and local professional organizations, he also serves as consultant to companies manufacturing drugs and products for women. He is an accomplished, entertaining and frequently requested speaker on issues specific to women’s health and finds time to provide this important service to both professional groups and patient education events.
Kit S. Devine, ARNP, MSN
Mrs. Devine is licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been in practice with Robert J. Homm, MD for the past nine years caring for patients affected by infertility and those with general and complex gynecologic conditions. Also a Louisville native, her career has included practice as a labor and delivery nurse, positions as a faculty member for the nursing schools at the University of Louisville and Bellarmine, practice as a Nurse Practitioner in two general OB-GYN settings, and serving as a consultant to various entities concerned with excellent care for women.
After her basic nursing education at WKU and Bellarmine, Ms. Devine completed graduate studies at Bellarmine and received a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a clinical focus in care and counseling of women. In addition to membership in various professional organizations, she is a member of the prestigious National Nurse Advisory Council for the March of Dimes. She has lectured on and published numerous articles dealing with her areas of expertise and is currently authoring a nursing education module designed to educate nurses regarding infertility and assisted reproduction. (due to publish 2005) She, too, is an active member of ASRM and serves on the board of the Louisville RESOLVE chapter.
Mary Mallick, Business Manager
Mary became our Business Manager in August, 2004 after many years in healthcare business administration. Her career has concentrated in practices delivering women’s health services since 1992. Mary obtained important credentialing as a Certified Professional Coder through the American Academy of Professional Coders. Her education was at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She is a member of the Association of Reproductive Managers, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Louisville Chapter of the Kentucky Medical Group Managers Association and the American Academy of Professional Coders.
